Short Film Documentary, Japanese American Basketball History

The Nikkei Basketball Heritage Association (NBHA) is seeking Japanese American internment camp survivors who played basketball during their confinement. We are looking for individuals who are willing to share their story for a short documentary on the history of Japanese American basketball. Please send us a short bio of yourself as well as some of your memories of playing basketball (Where you grew up, when/why did you start playing basketball, etc).

We are looking to finalize our interview list by the first week of December 2018.

The Nikkei Basketball Heritage Association (NBHA) has partnered with Japanese American filmmakers, Cory Shiozaki , Mitch Matsumura, and Richard Imamura to develop a full length documentary on the history of Japanese American basketball. More details coming soon.
